03.29.2015 Old Testament: Jos 23.14
To read the Bible in a year, read Joshua 23–24 on March 29, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Joshua knew that ending of his time on Earth drew near. He also knew the despair that people can feel when a leader passes on. Therefore, he said to Israel,
“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed” (Joshua 23.14).
Joshua faced his death with quiet resolve and peace, but he wanted Israel to know that it was the Lord who had blessed them, even as it is the Lord who blesses you, although He might do it through some man or woman. That man may leave, but the Lord will always be with you.

Using this in next week’s bulletin.
