Telling others of strange happenings

Luke Bible Background

04.02.2015 New Testament: Luke 8.34–36

To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 8.22–56 on April 2, In the year of our Lord 2015

By Don Ruhl

Some people witnessed Jesus cast demons out of a man, sending them into a herd of swine, who then immediately plunged themselves into the Sea of Galilee. They told others what they had seen,

When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country. Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. They also who had seen it told them by what means he who had been demon-possessed was healed (Luke 8.34–36).

Has someone changed his life after hearing about Jesus? Has a bad marriage been healed because the couple followed the teaching of Scripture? You name it, something that is unusual happens, and it amazes you. Why not tell others about it, for then they might be attracted to the Scriptures, and to Jesus?
