Division can be so powerful that it will bring kingdoms to desolation and cause homes to fall,

But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls” (Luke 11.17). 

Jesus said this to counter the charge that He was casting demons out of people by the power of Beelzebub (Satan), because even Satan knows the truths that Jesus stated. Therefore, Satan would not fight against himself.

Let us not fight against ourselves, but let us work to build unity, and if division comes, let it be because the other guy sought it.
