04.12.2015 New Testament: Luke 13.34–35
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 13.22–35 on April 12, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
The Lord put up with the sins of the Canaanites when they inhabited Jerusalem, and then when Israel took over the city, He put up with their sins for over a thousand years. However, even as the time of the Canaanites had arrived for their removal, so the time of Israel’s removal from Jerusalem came in the first century,
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” (Luke 13.34–35).
Even as the Lord loved Jerusalem, so He loves your city. Therefore, pray for your city that it may see the love of God for it.
