Many people think that being a Christian is simply a matter of getting saved or getting baptized, but carrying the name of the Christ entails so much more, even as He Himself said,

“And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14.27). 

We think that we exist for God to bless us, but Jesus the Christ taught that we exist to deny ourselves and to follow Him. Have you thought about what it means to bear your cross?
