The King will want an accounting of your behavior

To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 19.29–48 on April 23, In the year of our Lord 2015

By Don Ruhl

Jesus spoke of the kingdom of God, illustrating it with a nobleman who went to a far country to receive a kingdom. He wanted His servants to do business for him. Later when he returned he wanted to know how the servants had done with the money he had given them,

“And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading” (Luke 19.15).

This illustrates King Jesus demanding an accounting from each of us when He retrieves the kingdom, delivers it to the Father, and holds the Judgment. What will He see in your life?
