You do not need me to tell you of the power of temptation. Yet, we often find ourselves right in the middle of it, sometimes through our own doing! How do I avoid that? Listen to Jesus,
When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation” (Luke 22.40).
Shortly Judas would betray Jesus, and officers from the Jews would arrest Him. What would the disciples do? Events would transpire, tempting them to deny knowing Jesus. They did not realize how strong the temptation would be. However, if they had prayed as He told them, they would have received strength to endure the temptations.
