05.18.2015 New Testament: John 6.57–59
To read the Bible in a year, read John 6.45–71 on May 18, In the year of our Lord 2015

The Jews wanted bread just as their fathers ate in the wilderness, but Jesus offers another bread,
“As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum (John 6.57–59).
Eat bread made from grain, and you will still die, even if God is the One who gives it to you, but partake of Jesus and you will live forever. Therefore, make being part of Him the emphasis of your life rather than food for the body.
