It has become increasingly popular among skeptics, atheists, and others of their thinking to declare that Jesus never existed. Why would anyone deny that Jesus ever existed? Jesus Himself declared at least part of the problem with these people,
“But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God” (John 8.45–47).
The problem is they are not of God. Yes, God created them, but they have cut themselves off from Him so that they do not think His thoughts. They do not understand, therefore, the way He speaks and why He says what He says.
