Jesus healed a man who had been born blind! Would that not be a great occasion for rejoicing? Yet, few people seemed to be happy about it. Notice this sentence,
They brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees (John 9.13).
Why did they bring him to the Pharisees? Whoever brought him to the Pharisees did so because Jesus healed the man on the Sabbath, and told the man to rise, take up his bed, and walk. In the mind of the people, and in the mind of the Pharisees, that violated the Sabbath.
Was that truly working? How much work did Jesus do to heal the man?
