Massive sacrificing for the Lord

2 Chronicles Bible Background

Solomon and Israel loved the Lord, and building a temple for the name of Jehovah God provided a great deal of excitement in Israel, shown by the amount of sacrificing they did,

Also King Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him before the ark, were sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude (2 Chronicles 5.6).

Nothing in the narrative indicates that they sacrificed robotically, that is, without feeling and meaning. No, truly they loved the Lord and this was the way to show it then. What about now? How do you show the Lord you love Him?
