If we wear the name Christian that implies we live as He did. What set His life apart from the lives of others? Just after washing the feet of His disciples, He said,

“You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you” (John 13.13–15).

When has a lord ever washed the feet or done some other humble service for his subjects? We have to admit, that is not typical, yet, it typified the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

Think on what He said. He, the Teacher and Lord, washed their feet. If He was not too high to wash feet, then we certainly are not too high to wash feet or some other humble task that one of our brethren needs.
