To Jesus, everything was about the Father, because the Father had sent Jesus to this world, and the Father was calling Jesus back to the Father,

“I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father” (John 16.28). 

He came from the Father to our world to teach us about the Father that when we leave this world, we might go to the Father, where He is. Is that not what you want? Follow the teachings of Jesus and you shall follow Him to the Father.
