06.18.2015 New Testament: Acts 3.17–18
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 3 on June 18, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Some people believe that the suffering of the Messiah was unexpected, that God did not anticipate the Jews rejecting the Anointed One. Peter, inspired by the Holy Spirit, thought otherwise,
“Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled” (Acts 3.17–18).
The Jews and their rulers had no idea that they played right into the plan of God. He had spoken of these things through all the prophets.
