In the West we are bemoaning the fact that the church does not have the esteem in the eyes of the world, like the church once had. However, if we wish to have it again, read what the early church did to have that esteem,

And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly (Acts 5.12–13). 

The apostles did good works and the church was in one accord. How much does the world see those things in us? Does your community see those things in the church where you worship?
