07.02.2015 Old Testament: Job 24.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Job 23–25 on July 2, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
The Almighty sees us and our times, but even if we know Him, we cannot see Him at the present, as Job asked,
“Since times are not hidden from the Almighty,
Why do those who know Him see not His days?”
(Job 24.1)
Adam and Eve saw God and talked with Him, but after they sinned, things changed. From that time on, sin entered the world and God in His glory cannot be where sin is. However, He later veiled Himself in flesh that He might dwell among us, and then people saw Him, and we can read of that encounter He had with humanity.
Someday we will see God, and if we know Him, we shall see Him as a friend, and not as a condemning Judge.
