Do the rich and powerful have spiritual concerns?

Acts Bible Background

07.25.2015 New Testament: Acts 25.23

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 25 on July 25, In the year of our Lord 2015

Just before Paul as a prisoner appeared before some Roman politicians, the Bible tells us how the politicians entered the room,

So the next day, when Agrippa and Bernice had come with great pomp, and had entered the auditorium with the commanders and the prominent men of the city, at Festus’ command Paul was brought in (Acts 25.23).

We assume that the rich and powerful have no interest in matters of the spirit, but that assumption is wrong. Here the Bible shows a king and his wife entering a judgment room with great pomp, yet, this king knew of the prophets of the Bible and anticipated hearing Paul.
