Things surely looked bleak for Paul, but he knew that God was with him and he would survive whatever disaster he faced until the day when God wanted to call him home. As he traveled as a prisoner on a ship to Rome, Luke wrote,

But striking a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the prow stuck fast and remained immovable, but the stern was being broken up by the violence of the waves (Acts 27.41).

How could he survive? Yet, he did and the world has never been the same since.
