08.04.2015 Old Testament: Psa 73.12
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 73–74 on August 4, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
The psalmist looked at his own life in comparison with the life of the wicked, and he saw that he suffered, but that the wicked did not appear to suffer. The psalmist said at one point,
Behold, these are the ungodly,
Who are always at ease;
They increase in riches.
(Psalm 73.12)
The psalmist overstated his case, because although the wicked often do prosper, they also have trouble in this life, but the psalmist went on to see that in the end, the wicked always suffer.
