Faith makes no demands or challenges, but answers the demands and challenges, as Paul wrote,

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead) (Romans 10.6–7). 

Yes, faith investigates, but faith opens itself to the facts as they are. Faith accepts that Christ was in heaven, came down, was buried in the Earth, then ascended back to heaven, and cannot demand that He do it all over again.
