08.11.2015 New Testament: Rom 11.8–10
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 11.22–36 on August 11, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
As Paul explains the problem of Jewish unbelief in the Messiah Jesus, the apostle quoted prophecy to show that the Lord expected this to happen,
Just as it is written:
“God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day.”And David says:
“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
A stumbling block and a recompense to them.
Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see,
And bow down their back always.”(Romans 11.8–10)
Nothing surprises the Lord. Even so, He continues with His plans, because man cannot do anything to keep Him from fulfilling His promises.
