08.18.2015 Old Testament: Psa 110.0–1

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 109–111 on August 18, In the year of our Lord 2015

By Don Ruhl

The Bible tells us that David wrote Psalm 110, and at the beginning, David made a powerful declaration that the New Testament quotes several times,

A Psalm of David.
The LORD said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
(Psalm 110.0–1)

Yahweh (or Jehovah) said to David’s Lord, that David’s Lord would sit at the right hand of Yahweh until His enemies became His footstool.

David was the highest human in his kingdom. He did not submit to something like a United Nations. Who then could possibly be David’s Lord?
