What do you think of the message of the cross, that is, of the cross of Christ? What you think about it and how you value it, reveals whether you are saved or not,

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1.18). 

He who is perishing thinks that the cross is foolish. Listen to atheists and they will question why God sent His Son to die on the cross. The atheist will ask, Why does God not just forgive everyone?

However, for those who are being saved, they understand the process and why God did what He did and they praise Him for it rather than mock Him.
