How do you know whether your preacher is a man of God? Undoubtedly you check to make sure that his teaching comes from the word of God. Another thing is this: How is he with you or the congregation? Is he a giver or a taker? Look at Paul’s ministry with the Corinthian Church,

Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children (2 Corinthians 12.14). 

Because Paul did not seek their things, but sought to give to them, he changed those people, and truly, he helped to change the world.
