Greet your brethren

2 Corinthians Bible Background

If you worship with the same congregation for many years, your greeting may start to lack something. If you are new, you might expect everyone to come to you. However, the Scripture says,

Greet one another with a holy kiss (2 Corinthians 13.12).

This command speaks to everyone. Do not just wait for people to approach you. You approach them. Do not make it an ordinary greeting, as though your brother or sister is no different than the rest of the world, but give a holy greeting.
