10.04.2015 Old Testament: Isa 29.20–21
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 29–30 on October 4, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
The Lord sees what the wicked, the criminals, the secularists, the skeptics, the idolaters, and the God-haters do to His people. Therefore, He will take action against them,
For the terrible one is brought to nothing,
The scornful one is consumed,
And all who watch for iniquity are cut off—
Who make a man an offender by a word,
And lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate,
And turn aside the just by empty words.
(Isaiah 29.20–21)
Our enemies scorn us, they watch for us to make any little mistake, listening for something we say that offends them, placing a snare to trap us, because we reprove them. Be patient, the Lord shall cut those people off in due time.
