Pleadings of the Lord for His people to return to Him fill the Book of Jeremiah, and His promises of healing them are right there also,

A voice was heard on the desolate heights,
Weeping and supplications of the children of Israel.
For they have perverted their way;
They have forgotten the Lord their God.
“Return, you backsliding children,
And I will heal your backslidings.”
(Jeremiah 3.21–22a) 

The children of Israel suffered, but it was for their backsliding, since they had perverted their way and forgotten the Lord their God.

Nevertheless, He pleaded with them to return, and then He would heal them of the things they suffered as a result of their backsliding. Our God is wonderful!
