We tend to give more attention to preachers, pastors, and professors, and oh yeah, we have deacons too. However, the Holy Spirit wants us to know of the significance of their work, saying to Timothy,

For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 3.13). 

Are you a deacon? Listen, my friend, you need to know that if you do your job well, you will obtain for yourself a good standing and great boldness in the faith that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
