How you see the world depends upon the condition of your heart. We have a tendency to interpret or to make applications to ourselves of the things that we observe, and what we think about those things reveals the state of the heart,

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled (Titus 1.15).
