Some people just want to cause trouble. They wake up in the morning, looking for trouble. You might think that you can change them, so you engage in conversation constantly, showing them kindness, but it does not work. The Bible says to do this,

Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned (Titus 3.10–11).

Admonish them a first time and then a second. If that does not change them, your endless kindnesses toward them will not change them either, and who knows how many innocent people they might bring down in the process. Therefore, the Bible says to reject those people.
