Simply by reason of time, you should be further along in your Christianity than you were years ago. You should be able to tell someone else at least some things from the Bible, as it is written,

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food (Hebrews 5.12). 

They had been in the faith long enough that they should have been able to teach others, but they did not know enough. Therefore, they still needed someone to teach them.
