11.19.2015 New Testament: Jam 1.17–18
To read the Bible in a year, read James 1 on November 19, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
When you are tempted, never think or say that God is tempting you, for He does not tempt anyone, nor can we tempt Him, but instead of tempting us to sin, James said God does this,
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures (James 1.17–18).
God gives us good things, even causing us to be born again, because He wants to save us, not condemn us, which is what would happen, if He tempted us and we sinned.
