The Western World is turning against Christianity, and the churches complain about it, but the Holy Spirit says that persecution should not surprise us,

Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you (1 John 3.13). 

Yet, we do marvel at what the Western World has now done in relation to Christianity. We find it hard to believe and we wonder what happened. However, let us listen to the Holy Spirit in that text of First John. We know the world hated Jesus before it hated us. Why then marvel? We enjoyed the support of the world for a while, but Satan rules the world, and he hates Jesus and Satan hates the people of Jesus.
