We cannot see God while we live in the flesh, but He can abide in us while we still live in the flesh. For that to happen, and for us to see God later, we have to meet a condition,

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us (1 John 4.12). 

John, moved by the Holy Spirit, declared that we must love one another, then God will abide in us, and by our love for one another we will demonstrate that the love of God has finally been perfected in us.
