12.21.2015 Old Testament: Mic 7.3–4
To read the Bible in a year, read Micah 6–7 on December 21, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Men hunt men (Micah 7.2), heaping up their sins, because they want to sin even more, as Micah revealed,
That they may successfully do evil with both hands—
The prince asks for gifts,
The judge seeks a bribe,
And the great man utters his evil desire;
So they scheme together.
The best of them is like a brier;
The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge;
The day of your watchman and your punishment comes;
Now shall be their perplexity.
(Micah 7.3–4)
Men get worse and worse, until the Lord judges them and destroys all the work of their hands. Let us not follow their example, but let us follow the Lord who went about doing good while He lived on the Earth.
