Sometimes us preachers make the message of the Lord complicated and complex, and then we wonder why no one responds to the message. Let us consider what the Lord told the prophet/preacher Habakkuk,

Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”
(Habakkuk 2.2–3) 

The whole world faces eternal danger, unless we tell them the good news that they can avoid that horrible destination. That means we need to make the message plain so that they might run from hell who read it, and run to the Lord for safety.
