Our Lord judges and makes war

The image of Jesus in the Book of Revelation is that of warrior, and Revelation 19, starting at verse 11, highlights that imagery,

Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God (Revelation 19.11–13).

That is no wimpy-wristed Jesus. Look at Him. Flaming fire comes out of His eyes. He wears many crowns on His head, because the kingdoms of this world have become His (Revelation 11.15). His robe is soaked in blood.

This is the Jesus the world shall see at the Judgment, but Christians shall see Him as their Friend and Advocate.
