None of us should be surprised by what we see and experience at the Judgment, because the Bible reveals what shall happen, including this reading,

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books (Revelation 20.12). 

One book is the Book of Life with the names of those who will inherit eternal salvation.

Another book is the Bible.

The last book is the book of our lives, that recorded the way we lived.
