01.03.2016 Old Testament: Gen 6.13
To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 6–8 on January 3, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Cain killed Abel, and the violence did not decrease, but with every generation the violence increased apparently, because God eventually made a decision to wipe out humanity because of its violence,
And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth” (Genesis 6.13).
The grace and mercy of our God appear to be endless, yet, mankind can so push Him that eventually He gives up on them, and in the case of Noah’s generation, He destroys the whole Earth, except one family!
God is not playing games. Sin is serious business. Therefore, let us not sin, and when we do, let us run to Him for forgiveness, lest something worse fall upon us than did the generation of Noah.
