Fasting comprises many world religions. What about Christianity? Should Christians fast? Some people approached Jesus,

Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?” (Matthew 9.14). 

That was certainly a fair question, because religion is not about self-indulgence, but about self-denial. Should not then the disciples of Christ fast? He answered that His disciples would fast at the right time. What about you? Do you fast?
