01.13.2016 New Testament: Matt 10.40
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 10.24–42 on January 13, In the year of our Lord 2016

Receiving an apostle implied that person received whoever sent out the apostle, as Jesus said,
“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me” (Matthew 10.40).
The Father sent Jesus. Jesus sent the apostles. Therefore, to receive an apostle meant to receive Jesus, and receiving Jesus meant to receive the Father. The same order could be said of rejecting an apostle, which meant rejecting Jesus, which means further rejecting the Father.
Even today some people do not like the apostles, or Paul in particular. However, to reject him is to reject Jesus and rejecting Him means rejecting the Father. If you accept the teaching of the apostles, you accept the teaching of Jesus and you then accept the teaching of the Father.
