01.20.2016 New Testament: Matt 14.22
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 14.22–36 on January 20, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Jesus and His apostles spent time with large numbers of people, but rather than Jesus and the apostles staying with the people, Matthew records this,
Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away (Matthew 14.22).
He had something planned special for the apostles, and for Himself. For the apostles, He would appear to them as He walked on the water; for Himself, He would spend time in prayer with His Father.
Sometimes the Lord wants us with people and sometimes we wants us separated from them, either way, He is the Lord and He knows what is best.
