To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 17 on January 24, In the year of our Lord 2016

When Jesus walked the Earth, He did plenty of miracles that people might believe, but they had the tendency to see only that they got what they wanted. Therefore, a man brought his son to the disciples for healing, but the disciples could not do it,
Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour (Matthew 17.17–18).
Jesus grew impatient. Jesus did not want to have bear such burdens anymore. Therefore, He referred to them as a faithless and perverse generation.
Everyone seemed to want something from Jesus, but how many of them wanted to give Him something? How about you? Do you only ever want something from Him, or do you have something to offer to Him?
