01.31.2016 Old Testament: Exo 25.32–33
To read the Bible in a year, read Exodus 25–26 on January 31, In the year of our Lord 2016

We know that the Lord values light, because His first recorded words in the Bible declare His creation of light. Therefore, when He instructed Moses and Israel on the construction of the Lampstand for the Tabernacle, the Lord God gave specific details, such as this part of the Lampstand,
“And six branches shall come out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side. Three bowls shall be made like almond blossoms on one branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower, and three bowls made like almond blossoms on the other branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower—and so for the six branches that come out of the lampstand” (Exodus 25.32–33).
The Lord loves light and He wants the bearer of light to be a thing of beauty also, as shown in the making of this part of the Lampstand.
Revelation chapters 1–3 show that the Lord uses Lampstands to represent the Church, because we bear the light of the word of God, especially the Good News, and that means that the church must also show its beauty, which we do through our good works.
I love this post. Thanks Don.
