02.20.2016 New Testament: Mark 3.22
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 3.22–35 on February 20, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
What is the worse thing someone could call you, especially as you do a good work? Think about Jesus. He cast demons out of people, but what did His critics call Him, or by whose power did they say He worked?
And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons” (Mark 3.22).
They charged Jesus with being in cahoots with the devil himself! I have been criticized before, but never anything approaching that level, nor was I doing as great a work as He was doing when they said such words.
Therefore, if you help people, expect criticism, but remember that they criticized our Lord and why do you think you should escape criticizing?
