Have you sinned? Are you trying to cover it up? Surely you must know that the Lord will find you, because He already knows what you have done. If you do not repent, He has ways of exposing you, even as He did Achan, who took something that did not belong to him,

So Joshua rose early in the morning and brought Israel by their tribes, and the tribe of Judah was taken. He brought the clan of Judah, and he took the family of the Zarhites; and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man, and Zabdi was taken. Then he brought his household man by man, and Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken (Joshua 7.16–18).

The best thing to do is just repent and confess your sin immediately before something happens to embarrass and humiliate you.

• Are you delaying confessing it to Him?
