04.28.2016 New Testament: Luke 21.27–28
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 21.20–38 on April 28, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
Jesus foretold of the destruction of Jerusalem, and it would be so horrible that men’s hearts would fail them from fear. Then Jesus said,
“Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21.27–28).
Just when things would seem to be at their worst, Jesus would save His people. It is often like that in daily life, and it was like that during the Roman siege of Jerusalem. The Lord always looks out for those faithful to Him.
