Jesus made a blind man see. Sounds like a reason for rejoicing. However, not for everyone, as John noted,
Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes (John 9.14).
Some of the leaders among the Jews believed that even miraculous works, where a person did nothing, but receive a healing, violated the Sabbath. Jesus caused a blind man to see, but because it happened on the Sabbath, that offended the Pharisees, and they went after Jesus with a vengeance.
