Why did Jesus come into the world? You undoubtedly know John 3.16, but consider something else Jesus said,

“For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind” (John 9.39).

The arrival of the Son of God caused the blind to see and the seeing to become blind. Jesus disrupts our lives that dramatically. Do not think that following Him means life shall be as you want it.
