God chooses to dwell in humble places and in humble people. Concerning a place where He once dwelt, Psalm 68 declared,

A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan;
A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
Why do you fume with envy, you mountains of many peaks?
This is the mountain which God desires to dwell in;
Yes, the LORD will dwell in it forever.
(Psalm 68.15–16)

When we think of the grandeur and majesty of the Creator God, our fleshly thinking says that if He chooses to dwell on the Earth, it should be the place with the greatest majesty, but then we learn of Him dwelling in the Land of Canaan, especially after the children of Israel moved to the Land. The Land of Israel is a humble land, but God dwelt there.

He also dwells with the humble, just as much as He does in the grandest place we can imagine, the Book of Isaiah says,

For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones” (Isaiah 57.15).

That means that God can dwell with you, if you have a humble spirit.
